Great question! Mike was from Minnesota! Mike married Gretchen and was in Vietnam and retired from the Army as an enlisted aide at Fort Myer Virginia. He had two wonderful daughters and 3 grandchildren. Mike loved to cook and plan meals and parties with his family and friends. He especially loved making special things for his grandson Caleb.

Mike was active in his church and community. He loved talking to people, even if they’d just met Mike would want to leave them with a joke or two to remember him by. And plenty of people remember Mike.

You couldn’t take Mike anywhere without him striking up a conversation and exchanging a joke or two.
